I’ve visited the studio a few times now, and have discussed with the other participants about what needed to be done and ideas I’ve been having.

Having complete creative freedom to do what I want is great, but I always find my ideas for scenarios and narrative needs improving quite a bit. Having completed my first animated short, Hungry Jungle, I will be approaching this project in much the same way.

Here is my character design at the moment. A slightly simple looking frog with some exaggerated features. My aim for this character is to introduce him into an interesting 30-60 second, 2D animation that’s quick and snappy. I love the animation style used over at Meindbender and want to incorporate this amount of character manipulation into my short. More updates on the way…frogcharactersheet

Well, let's hope that's what will be happening. Here's a bit of an update about what I'm doing at the moment.

A month ago I won a place on a new animation scheme, Viral Kitchen, set up in Birmingham by the guys at Second Home Productions. Here I'm throwing around ideas with some other talented animators in an attempt to come out with a successful animation by October time to add to my growing portfolio of work!
