Viral Kitchen Progress

I thought I’d publish a bit about what I’m doing for Second Home Productions as part of the Viral Kitchen pilot scheme. I’ve visited the studio a few times now, and have discussed with the other participants about what needed to be done and ideas I’ve been having.

Having complete creative freedom to do what I want is great, but I always find my ideas for scenarios and narrative needs improving quite a bit. Having completed my first animated short, Hungry Jungle, I will be approaching this project in much the same way.

Here is my character design at the moment. A slightly simple looking frog with some exaggerated features. My aim for this character is to introduce him into an interesting 30-60 second, 2D animation that’s quick and snappy. I love the animation style used over at Meindbender and want to incorporate this amount of character manipulation into my short. More updates on the way…
